Best Restaurants in Rome is a set of static pages. There are no accounts to create, no logins, no comment fields and no forms anywhere on the site, and nothing is bought here, so there is very little personal information in play to begin with.

Information Gathered

Where analytics is switched on, it works at the level of the crowd rather than the person. It counts which pages get read, notes the country a visit appears to come from, records the device family, and logs which tour listing links get clicked. That click data is the part this site actually cares about. It answers a narrow question: did a page help someone choose between, say, a Trastevere twilight walk and a pasta class near the Pantheon, or between a Testaccio market tour and a golf cart food route? Nothing beyond usefulness is being measured. No name, email address or card number is ever held, for the simple reason that the site never requests any of them and sells nothing to visitors directly.

Cookies and Outside Sites

Analytics runs on cookies of its own. Embedded maps work differently: the content loads from the provider's servers as the page renders, and whatever that provider then sets is governed by its privacy policy rather than this one.

Follow a link to a tour listing and you leave this site behind. From that point the booking provider runs the show: it sets its own cookies to hold your session and to note which website sent you. Those cookies answer to the provider's privacy policy and not to anything written here, and the same holds for the website of any cooking school, market stall or trattoria you reach later in your planning. Hosting

These pages are served by an outside hosting provider, which keeps standard server logs, IP addresses among them, to block misuse. Nobody looks through those logs to identify you, and no effort is made to connect a reader with the restaurant pages or tour comparisons they happened to open.

Your Choices

If you want to limit what this site can see, your browser's tracking protection, an ad blocker or a Do Not Track header will stop the analytics script, and every page keeps working as before. Disabling JavaScript entirely is a further choice: the guides still render, and the tour write-ups, the price details and the category roundups all show in full, except for the mobile menu. Prefer to leave no cookie behind at all? Copy a tour name from these pages and look it up on the live booking page yourself, and this site plays no part in the transaction.
